Town Council

Overview

The Edenton Town Council is governed by a Council/Manager form of government. The elected Town Council hires a Town Manager to manage the day to day operations of municipal services and government.

The Mayor and Town Council are elected by the citizens of Edenton. Four Councilmen represent wards within the Town and two Councilmen are at-large members (representing the entire town). All serve four-year terms which are staggered every two years.

The Edenton Town Council meets in regular session on the second Tuesday of every month and for committee meetings on the fourth Monday of every month. The Town Council meets at the Council Chambers located at 504 South Broad Street. Meetings begin at 6:00 p.m.
