Hollowell Park, which sits along the entry point to Filbert's Creek, is just across the street from one of Edenton's famed ice cream eateries, The Freeze. This park offers places to sit, shaded areas for picnics and plenty of opportunities for fishing. The bridge adjacent to the park was recently named after Edenton's only fallen fireman in the line of duty: Benjamin Henry Smith.
