Griffith Park, while owned by Chowan County, is maintained regularly by the Town of Edenton, who also manages Park Use Forms for this site.
Named for the legendary Reverend Simeon Nathaniel Griffith, a prominent leader of Edenton's African American community, this park sits at the corner of two busy streets: North Oakum Street and East Freemason Street. Popular for basketball tournaments and summer events for the community, this park hosts multiple basketball courts and some picnic benches beneath shaded trees.
