As part of the 1767 Chowan County Courthouse complex, the courthouse green remains a spectacular outdoor "central park" within town limits. While the property is Chowan County-owned and maintained, it exists wonderfully along our downtown waterfront, just steps from the Revolutionary War-era cannon strip.
