The Town of Edenton is seeking to hire part-time Downtown Ambassadors that are responsible for helping to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who lives, works in, or visits Downtown Edenton.
This position is a positive on-street concierge for the downtown community, addressing quality of life issues, and provides assistance for those in need. Duties will include monitoring patrons and enforcing rules at various town owned parks, serves as a friendly ambassador for the Town, assists park visitors, works with youth and young adults and provides minimal supervision to deter negative activity by having a presence in the parks and downtown area.
Enforces town ordinances and performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge of town history and attractions are desired. Job will require working outdoors, walking for extended lengths of time and operating a golf cart.
