The Town of Edenton Electric Department is seeking to hire an Electric Line Technician 1st Class that performs difficult advanced journey level skilled work in the construction, maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution lines and other related duties. This position will also require the operation of various trucks and equipment such as line trucks, backhoes, trenchers and bucket trucks.
Requires high school diploma or GED and requires possession of a valid NC Driver’s License with Class B CDL with air brake endorsement or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. Requires working in inclement weather and exposure to electrical hazards, and subject to on call duty.
