The Town of Edenton Electric Department is seeking to hire an Electric Groundman/Apprentice that performs entry-level work in the construction, maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution lines, tree trimming and related line clearance work to receive the necessary skills and experience to progress in the apprenticeship program.
This position will also requires the operation of various trucks and equipment such as line trucks, backhoes, trenchers and bucket trucks. Requires high school diploma or GED and requires possession of a valid NC Driver’s License with Class B CDL with air brake endorsement or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. Requires working in inclement weather and exposure to electrical hazards and subject to on call duty.
